Introduction
Hi. I'm not sure what to write. I have been feeling drained and noticed I have no one around to talk too. I'm a single mother and doctoral student who is working from home. I put a lot of effort into making sure my child is cared for, well socialized, and engaged in various activities. I love my baby so much! However, I oftentimes tend to neglect my own needs. May be due to betrayal trauma in all forms or the recent loss of a parent. I'm just tired most days. The content of my courses are triggering intense feelings of sadness that I was able to easily supress before. I realize I need to actually grieve my losses but there is no time for that. Life is happening now and if I stop I feel like I won't catch-up. It's just getting harder to pretend that I'm perfectly happy. I'm don't know if this is an introduction but there it is.

Welcome.
Determined peach seems like a fitting username. I see your going through a hard time, and you've come to a good place to find support and community as well as education. Take time to take care of yourself when you can.
I like to 'schedule' a little cry session or feelings session about once a week to give myself time to catch up on the feelings that I've squashed through the week. This helps me feel a little bit less overwhelmed.
reach out if you need any one-on-one support.
Youre not alone, and this hard time will pass <3
