What would you say is the most valuable/rewarding thing you have learnt so far as a listener? Or if you are a member, what makes you feel most heard and validated in a chat?
As a listener, I’d say the most valuable and rewarding thing I’ve learned is how powerful presence can be. Sometimes, just holding space for someone without jumping in to fix or judge is exactly what they need.
@CheeryMango ah I really love that, just holding space for someone is perfectly put, it is a beautiful sentiment. It is good to be present, and to not judge and jump in, I understand that, because it can be so tempting to want to try and make things better for someone, but ultimately that is not possible or what your role as a listener is! thank you for taking the time to respond :)
