New to Depression
Hi so I've always had anxiety growing up plus insomnia but I didn't get treated..as you might know growing up in an asian household with hard financial conditions, access to a therapist or any sort of professional help is hard..I thought I will be fine, I thought i was until it hit me so hard to the point that my stress and anxiety become so severe, i couldn't eat food or do any sort of activities even my parents become concerned and we finnally met a psychiatrist and he diagnosed me with sever anxiety plus mild depression and told me that I get treated too late that it has turned into depression.. I've been to checkup twice and it's like a rollercoaster..when I thought I was getting better i fall right back to scratch..The girl with the perfect A+ can no longer study, have interest or even take care of herself..just taking a bath becomes a hard task.. Sitting still feels like being trapped in a dark room but getting distracted feels the same..no solution and talking to bots doesn't help so I am here out or desperation..
If there's anyone who is new to all this and also have a hard time comprehending what is going on, I hope we can connect and go through this journey together... Let's reach the end of the tunnel and see the light🍀Feel free to connect 😊

It takes immense courage to share what you're going through, especially when it feels like a never ending struggle and you've faced so many barriers to getting help. Your words paint a clear picture of how profoundly anxiety and depression have impacted every aspect of your life, from your studies to simple self care, and it's heartbreaking to hear that even now, after seeking professional help, it still feels like a constant battle. The feeling of being trapped whether you're still or distracted, with no clear solution in sight, is something many can relate to, and it's completely understandable that you're reaching out here out of desperation for real connection. I truly hope you find those connections you're looking for, the ones who can walk alongside you on this journey and help you feel less alone as you push towards seeing the light at the end of this incredibly tough tunnel
Thankyouuuu tulip..I just woke up and you know mornings are the hardest part for me idk if there's other people like that..when I wake up it's like everything that I tried forgetting or made terms with resurfaced and my heart physically feels so heavy..I would just lay doing nothing..i came here hoping for some distraction again and it felt good seeing your reply although I feel so heavy still..it's hard for me why and how these happen like how my body functions with it and how it's effecting me..I would really like to wake up feeling save and in peace on the days to come love you>>

Hi!
Thank you for sharing so openly about your journey. I too am hoping you can find the support you seek at 7Cups. In my short time here, I have found so many good and caring people.
I was never diagnosed as being an anxious person; I don't even think it was available to me, as a diagnosis, because I come from an Asian background with financial hardships.
But I think you are on a good path to getting help.
And I am also here to help, however I can.
The hardest part is when you need to depend on yourself you know..families might be there but it's us ourselves who process these thoughts and nothing really helps..
Thankyou for your reply i appreciate it💌

Heeey I’m so sorry you experience this. I as well but from a Hispanic household and I believe there are some similarities….. I love your outlook and would love to connect.
@muffinheals that’s exactly how I feel! I wish I could wake up one day and this feeling is gone but I guess will have to adopt. I got first shocked how can I be depressed it never feel like something I could catch on! So that feeling of shock also contributes to my feeling even down.
I'm sorry you also had to go through this..life can be so hard sometimes..I hope everything loving forward is for the better and we feel better each day☺️💌
@muffinheals

@muffinheals hello. I know what you mean. Growing up in an Asian perspective, I can very much relate to this. I haven't really been diagnosed but I do believe I have depression and anxiety, as well. Some minor panic attacks whenever I go out, getting uninterested in the things I used to love for months at a time and the need for doing absolutely nothing because anything else is is too much of a bother to even try. It's stressful, but I try to push forward, for my family and my work. I hope for the best for you and I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this way.
