@wawa6

Hey! Welcome to the community. Overthinking can sure have a lot of consequences. Lack of sleep being one of them. There are multiple ways to combat overthinking. Yes, we can't put an end to it all of a sudden but gradually. It could be through adopting mindful exercises, self-reflection, productive distractions, etc. In fact, whatever works best for you. I hope you overcome and rise through this stressful state of mind. Take care and have a blessed day ahead.

I think you can try to convert your thoughts nagative to postive...

Like convert into in writing or painting or something else like this activity whatever you like 😀

Hopefully it's helpful to you ☺️

@wawa6 hello! I think it's very normal to overthink things and to struggle to sleep as a result. I've struggled with it a lot, and the only advice that I can give you that helped me was to listen to something while you're trying to sleep. I started listening to podcasts, music, anything to distract my mind in the middle of the night and it did help. I've also started trying to have at least 5 minutes to the day where I go outside and don't think about ANYTHING to do with whatever is going on. And it's certainly difficult, but you have to really force your mind to think about other things. When I'm struggling I'll go outside and force myself to think about anything I see, "oh the sky is looking grey, I wonder if it will rain soon, at least the plants will have plenty if water" "oh the neighbour is mowing their lawn, it must have been overgrown, I wonder if there were daisies growing in the lawn?" "Speaking of daisies its been ages since I made a flower chain, the last time I did it was when I was 8". It sounds really silly and you'll probably feel a bit silly, but it has really helped me personally. Hope this helps!
