Spread the Love Challenge: Join the Movement! (May Edition)
This is a cool challenge for absolutely everyone on 7Cups, including newbies! <3
For the next month, make it your goal to post more on 7Cups! This is an amazing way to love and support other people, and maybe even save a life. You don’t know who just needs to be seen, and acknowledged, which may be just enough to give them the hope they need to go on. <3
With this powerful mission in mind, here’s an epic challenge for everyone. We’ll gamify it and make it even more fun! <3
Let’s dive into the scoring breakdown!
3 points: Reply to a “Needs reply” post
2 points: Creating a brand-new post
1 point: Responding to any active post
So, the easiest way to win is to respond to “Needs reply” posts. BUT You only get points for posting a thoughtful, supportive response; try to come up with something loving and helpful :)
For every 20 points you get, reward yourself! Doesn’t matter if it’s a jellybean, watching a YT video, reading a few pages of a favorite book, etc. Make this challenge rewarding for yourself, too! <3
At the end of May, @Tinywhisper11 will give the winner a virtual prize! (For the newbies who aren’t familiar with our “rewards system”: it’s not a physical prize or anything. She may knight you, or give you a duckling, or give you a ride on her pet unicorn, Mayo. It’s the internet. We’re fun here lol)
Notes:
*Tally your own points; no one will be checking your work or points. Be honest in your scoring. :)
*Responding to penpal chats you are already very active in doesn’t count. (I’d win by the end of the day if I did lol! I have a TON of penpal chats lol)
*Be supportive, ask people about themselves, make friends! :)
*You can keep posting here! Give us a running tally of your points <3
*This challenge starts May 1st. Any points you tally before that don’t count. (I’m posting this early to make sure everyone sees it in time, and has time to prepare.)

I realize that this challenge may be daunting to those who are busy, or are new, etc. SO… I’m changing the rules a bit. :)

I’m doing this for a reason.
We may have saved someone’s life last night, by talking them down from harming themselves. It was a “needs reply” post that had gotten buried. (If I tagged you in that post, thank you SO much for rallying together and making them feel loved and wanted… You guys are literal lifesavers!)
And that’s what this is about.
The points are silly, and overall, worthless.
What matters is the fact that these usernames? These are real people. With real pain. Who might be considering hurting themselves because they feel invisible, unwanted, unloved. They have real lives, they’re being bullied, they have physical issues, they’ve been shunned, their hearts have been shattered. They’re looking for love and solace, looking to see if anyone cares that they exist.
And THAT is what this challenge is about.
That one post you reply to? Just acknowledging their existence may be enough to save them from SH or worse. Showing them love may make them realize that their life DOES matter, that they ARE seen, that they ARE worthy of love.
I want 100% participation, if at all possible, from every single person who sees this post. Don’t worry about the points. Don’t worry about the game. Think about that ONE person whose life you might save.

I was made aware of the crisis policy recently.
The guidelines for dealing with a crisis post are to flag the post, because crisis posts are prohibited. 7Cups doesn't offer help in crisis situations, and the person needs to be referred to other organizations that are better equipped to help with these situations.
So, please flag any posts with people who may be in crisis, and if you feel comfortable doing so, please share this crisis link.
