"It's 00:00 on a windy night. I took my jacket and went out for a walk. All along the road, my hands were in my pockets. I heard only the sound of my breath with each step. After a while, in an empty street, I heard a voice behind me asking for help. 'I know that voice,' I said. I stopped and turned around, but no one was there. I resumed walking but still confused about where that voice came from. A couple of minutes later, I heard the same voice again, but this time I discovered who it was. It was me, naked, bleeding, shivering, thin, with pale skin. 'What happened?' I said in shock. He kept staring at me for a while and then said with a coarse voice, 'I'm your prisoner.' 'What? How is that?' I said. He took a step towards me and responded, 'I'm your past, your present, your fact. I'm every bad memory, every problem you can't deal with, every disappointment you think is gone.' 'So, what are you doing here? What do you want from me?' I said. He took one more step towards me and said, 'I'm always here, always with you anytime and everywhere you go, and I want my freedom.' 'Even if I do that, no one can recognize you, because no one knows if you even exist,' I said. He took a step towards me again and said, 'But you do, and you can't deny my existence. I'm your deep secret; I'm your shadow.' 'I don't want you in my life; keep away from me,' I said.
