Tired, so tired
Found this resource after searching for free therapy. I haven't been able to work lately, or focus, or do anything besides care for my son.
He is three months old and been in hospital almost as long. Shortly after he was born his stomach twisted and cut off the blood supply. He had to have all of his bowel removed apart from 10cm. We were told he will require IV nutrition for the remainder of his life, which may not be very long. An infection could kill him anytime.
I am not living in my home country and I don't have any friends here, only my wife and my son. Nobody to talk to.
Just the last couple of weeks I've had time to breathe, but it also means I've had time to notice the weight of overwhelming hopelessness crushing me into the ground. My being seems to be occupying two separate time zones with my mind constantly racing and stress keeping me awake while my body operates at half speed.
I have not felt optimistic about the future for a while. Actually I haven't felt anything besides despair. I need a break but one isn't in sight. I feel bad complaining when my son is the one going through all this.
I don't know what to do. I can't protect my family nor provide for them. I feel numb to everything. There is a constant droning in my ears that gets louder every day. I wish I had hope, or anything besides this.
@nobody1234555 ik how you feel well not the son thing or the twisted stomach thing. but your feelings matter idk realy what to say if you wana tallk im a good listener (not an actual one scince im not qualified) (and i like listening i dont like talking abt my feelings and it bottles up so find an outlet and when you find one my phones abt to die so can you plug it in. your situation is tough but you deside what happens next call a friend or talk to an actual listener thats had some life experience because ill give the most basic advice, silently judge you but ill listen.
