Uhm... hi. I'm new here.
Hello, I'm new here on this platform. I mainly came here to discuss about my feelings with some certain topics (even though I may feel awkward to do so, sorry.) I've been struggling with some things... but also thinking that these feelings are overexaggerated or overdramatic and I'm just some emo weirdo. I hate myself... quite a lot actually. While I have never been properly diagnosed by an actual therapist, I feel like I struggle with Social Anxiety. I've been dealing with shyness my entire life... extreme levels of it. It was very bad when I was young... I even received a book by my old elementary school on how to help with it (even though I never used it and was only offended by it.) I also remember getting close to crying and panicking when I was asked "Is there anything else you wanted to talk about?" by a doctor (I was dealing with annoying physical issues like itchiness at the time.) I didn't know what to say and it made me feel confused as the time was ticking by. I didn't want to waste that person's time by being indecisive and unsure of what to say. I also struggle a lot with emotions too and more stuff, but I don't want to drag on about things here. I hope you have a good day/night/whatever time it is, though. Peace. ❤️

HI there
Just wanted to say 7cups is a great place to be. It has helped me alot . People here are so kind and like minded. I think you might find a good listener to help you get through some of the stuff your experiencing. I find chatting with a listener to be incredibly helpful.
I wish you peace and remember your not alone here.

Hi, to start, I would say that, crying in front of a therapist is very normal, it is not an indicator that you have wasted time, or you are inferior for doing it, No,
On the contrary, I understand crying means you have let your guard down and have built a trusting relationship with the therapist. I would call it progress,
Sometimes in life, having someone you are able to cry to (attentive, caring, non-judgmental) is itself therapeutic.
And if the therapist made you feel any other way, a good idea is to maybe discuss this matter up front with the therapist, or if that feels wrong, or forced, changing the therapist is also an option,
And I would like to chat with you more on this topic too.
:)

Hello friend <3 I am so glad you found 7 Cups so you can receive the support that you deserve. I hope you are liking it so far :)
I do relate with some things listed in your bio buddy <3 I tend to be an emotional, sensitive person as well and I just want you to know that you're not alone in being this way, and that it is not a bad or unhealthy trait even though it may feel like that, and i know it can be really difficult being sensitive in a world like this especially as a teen :')
Hi! I relate so much to this!! Me too I haven't been diagnosed but I'm 100% sure I have social anxiety. It's hard to live with it. So I'm most of the time just alone because every social interaction I have is awkward. I'm trying to work on it tho.
Anyway welcome to 7 cups! It's definitely a good place to be if you want to talk about your emotions. I hope you will like it here!

Hi there,
Welcome to 7cups! I am fairly new to this app as well. I have recently gone through some tough times in my life as well which I am more than willing to open up to anyone who wants to chat/listen! I think the biggest thing I learned from going through this chapter of my life and with the help of my therapist is that communication is KEY. I held so much inside for so long that I self-destructed and did things that were very uncharacteristic of myself. I will not let that define who I am as a person though. Remember that expressing emotions is completely NORMAL. Whether you are able to express those emotions in front of another person or you express them when you are alone it is good to feel and let them take their course. I feel like letting out my emotions is so healthy. Understanding why you are feeling those emotions is key. Doing things that make you happy whether it’s exercising, being with family/friends, playing a favorite game or just a favorite activity of yours. Express yourself the way you want to! I am always here if you need to chat. Thank you for sharing, friend.

Hi there ! Actually I'm also certain that i have anxiety (not social but anxiety in general) I'm so happy that there are more people like me. When i was younger, i could never be able to talk to someone without hyperventilating and shhaking( i could also not look in the persons eyes) though it got a bit better with the help of some people taking care of me, I still have some difficulties do at some point, I know how it feels like. I hope you also get better😊
