2021 is off to a good start!!
@juliak1968 That's great Day! It'll take alittle to get that routine in place but you'll get there. It's awesome to see how far you've come. Good luck with the diet and it great to hear about you quitting smoking! Stay cool Day - you got this! 🙂

@juliak1968

Hey Day! Long time. How are things going for you?
@mytwistedsoul
Hi! I'm doing well, thanks!~ I'm still in therapy mostly online these days because of the ease of therapy from home. I'm not oxygen dependent any more and only use that at night. I have lost about 35lbs and don't struggle so much as I was. How have you been? It's nice to see you out there in the forums every day! Have a blessed day. I taught a class how to make flowers on Friday (Valentine's Day)
Here are 2 of them

Blessings, Day
@juliak1968 Congratulations on the weight loss and only needing the oxygen at night! Good for you! I'm really proud of you. You've been putting in the work and now you get to enjoy the good results!
The flowers look awesome and you taught a class how to make them!? That's so great!
Eh, I've been struggling with grief for awhile. I'm hoping it gets better soon or I learn to handle it better. Thank you for asking how I am.
Keep up the good work and stay awesome!

Have you ever heard of Logo-Therapy? I will tell you more about it soon. Got therapy right now
Blessings, Day
@juliak1968 I haven't heard of it. I'll google it. Have a good session!

When I was at my worst mentally a psychiatrist gave me a book to read by a man called Frankel something. Logotherapy is a form of therapy that helps people find meaning in life. It was founded by Viktor Frankl, an Austrian psychiatrist and Holocaust survivor.
Core principles
Humans have a healthy core
Life has purpose and meaning, but doesn't guarantee happiness
People can find meaning through experiences, actions, or attitude
How it helps
Logotherapy helps people deal with existential concerns like freedom, isolation, meaninglessness, and death. It can help people find meaning in work, suffering, and relationships.
Techniques
Logotherapy uses science-based exercises to help people find meaning in life. Some techniques include: self-distancing, self-transcendence, and dreflection.
Frankl's book
Frankl's most famous book, M . In it, he describes how his theories helped him survive the Holocaust.
Logotherapy's impact
Logotherapy is considered the Third Viennese School of Psychotherapy, along with Freud's psychoanalysis and Alfred Adler's individual psychology
Basically I read a book about the horrors of being in a concentration camp and logo therapy shows us how others have it worse and they need our help too. I'd recommend reading "Man's Search for Meaning" published in 1946
Blessings, Day
@juliak1968 Oh wow! I'll have to check those books out. I did find Man's search for meaning online and actually started to read it. I'll see where this leads. Thank you Day! 😊
@mytwistedsoul
I know I read that book when I was just beginning to mourn my oldest daughter's passing from inside of a prison so you can only try to imagine the forsaken unimaginable losses and when you are at your very lowest and can't seem to take any more, you begin to read something of a terrible nightmare. You may want to put it down but it is an important step I remember taking back decades ago. I still suffer but I can express emotions better now through arts poems etc. and often have deep conversations with new 7cupers in the Needs Reply where SH and worse crises, plus anything anxiety related I feel I am getting good at constantly defeating it for quite some time now and I am so appreciative!! Let me know what you think as you read. Be well!!
Blessings, Day
