Advice to your younger self

What is one piece of advice you would give to your younger self?

For me, I would tell myself that it is ok not to be good at everything. It is not a sign of weakness, but a sign that we are stronger at other things.

What about you, what would you tell yourself if you could go backward?

@halcyonCloud2036 I like this question and your answer for your younger self. Thanks for sharing this. I think I would tell younger me that life isn't something anyone ever really "figures out", there will be no grand A-ha moment, rather a fluid process. To temper expectations for myself and others as everyone just does the best they can.

@halcyonCloud2036 thank you for this question, I think if I could go back I'd tell my younger self to be more confident and just go ahead and try things you like, don't try to please others and just go for it anything you want to explore and don't afraid to fail :(

Such an interesting post! I love your advice on accepting that a person cannot be good at everything and recognizing that everyone is good at some things more than others.

It is difficult to give advice to my younger self as I am one of those people that does not listen to advice much but needs to experience it by themselves. I think it would probably be to allow myself to be as I am and not let anyone change me to fit their ideal. Who really loves me should accept me as I am and I would like my younger self to know this as well.

What a great thought exercise!

I think I'd probably tell my younger self to calm down a little. A lot of the events or feelings that I thought were the end of the world at the time really didn't end up mattering much in the long run: that being said, they were very important to be at the time, and I never want to minimize tiny me's feelings. That fourth grade heartbreak was the most painful thing she had gone through up until that point!

I guess I'd also tell myself that the key to confidence (that works best for me) is to fake it 'til ya' make it.

Save your money. I couldn't imagine how much money I would have in savings had I not spent it on random impulse buys that ended up in either the garbage or at Goodwill. 😂

I would tell my younger self to have more fun and stop living in the future. Also to make life decisions based on what would make me happiest, rather than for others benefit.
