What does this quote say to you?
Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a great Thursday! I wanted to share a quote with you all and ask what the quote says to you.
"One small crack does not mean that you are broken, it means that you were put to the test and you didn't fall apart." - Linda Poindexter
To me, this quote is about strength and resilience. It's about bouncing back after a hardship and how you deal with that hardship. We are all going to be "put to the test," but it's how you respond that matters. It can be so hard and it's totally normal to need a break to recover, but we all have to get up and learn from what happened to improve and get stronger!
What does this quote mean to you?

"One small crack does not mean that you are broken, it means that you were put to the test and you didn't fall apart."
This is a great quote, and to me, it is underscores the truth that none of us will ever make it through this life without scars.
Of course, those scars come in all shapes and sizes, and some cannot be seen physically. For myself, those non-physical scars are the hardest to deal with.
At any rate, yeah, that quote just says to me that it's okay to be battered in the storm. Cuz sometimes you gotta keep hanging on--one day at a time.
@sereneSunset26 I really love your take on this quote. It is 100% true that we will not exist in this life without some sort of scar, whether it be physical or not. I think it's what makes us human. Scars may be permanent, but we decide if we let them have the ability to bring us down or let them give us strength!

I like this quote and I'm glad I came across it. It's simple but says a lot.
I think it's saying you're stronger then you think you are. Maybe focus on the fact your still holding it together even tho the crack mite be there or something. Maybe I'm comparing it to the glass half full thing.
If you look at it another way maybe it's helping you keep it together. To realise you've made it through tough times, yes the crack may be there, but now you know you're strong and you can carry on and stop yourself from falling aoart
I think that's a good way to start a day. Thanks
@imaginativePear6493 I agree! The crack may be there, but it shows how strong you are and that you are still capable of surviving and thriving! Thank you for responding! :)

Thanks. I wasn't sure if it made much sense. Also, maybe if you notice when more pressure is applied that more difficulties may arise but knowing that you were resilient enough to withstand such pressure before will help.
Know when more cracks appear, or something like that

For me, it's a message to be gentle with myself and believe more in myself. Its okay to have some scars that just show we have won several battles and are still here. Those cracks don't mean that I am broken, that just proves I didn't lose.

That's a great quote! I think personally it speaks that as humans we don't need to be perfect. There's often breaks and cracks that we'll go through in our lives. Yet the importance is to learn and go through these cracks to become truly who we are and grow.
