@HealingSinthia
Hello! You will need to download the gif and save it as .jpg or .jpeg and then upload it on here from your laptop, in order for it to work as a gif. Example: Tulip.gif >>> Tulip.jpg or Tulip.jpeg
Hope it works! :)

@Tazzie

I feel like this is a common issue amongst alot of peole. I know it was quiet difficult for me to post pictures when I first joined up in the community. Could we create a small guide on how to upload GIFS or pictures. Or if you already know of a guide on how to do this could we add the link and create the post. :)

@Tazzie I think converting the gif to a jpeg would remove the animation. But when I looked at my settings page it said that it takes jpg, png, or gif. It also said that there was a 5MB limit; it's possible that a large gif with lots of animation could go over that limit. It's also possible that the site's server may be trying to shrink a large gif down to 100x100, which could also lose the animation if it isn't done correctly. Something to try might be re-sizing the gif to 100x100.

@stressBear

It actually works as a gif when converted to jpg. Also, it states it takes gif type files but it doesnt, maybe that needs to be updated on the page. Sometimes it doesnt work after converting to jpg, due to the browser but works out if tried using a different browser.

@Tazzie Converted? Or renamed? Gif-to-Jpeg converters convert animated gifs into a sequence of numbered jpegs. It's a little hard to believe that that works on the site. But it wouldn't surprise me if it would sometimes work if you just renamed an animated gif, changing just the extension to .jpg without actually doing any conversion. Whether it works would depend on some complex interactions between the server and any particular browser.

I may have to do some experimentation.

@AmuckAmuckAmuck

Hello! You can change it in Settings (on the browser) Click your profile picture and select Settings from the drop down menu and you should be able to upload a new picture! Please let me know if this helps.

Since you are very new to 7 Cups, you will have to give it up to 2 weeks and then you can change it! 😀
