7 Cups of Genius!
I foundout about 7 Cups of Tea on a website that listed internships. My major is Psychology and whileresearching about internships, I found came across the idea of virtual interning. I couldn't fathom how I could complete an entire internship solely online. When I found 7 Cups I then understood after reading about the dynamics and functionality. I think this is by far the coolest, and probably the most active way to get hands-on experience as an internin the social service and psychology fields. You're not just watching someone, you're getting true hands-on experience in real time.
I agree, this internship is giving me a lot of good experience. It looks good on a resume when applying to graduate school too, I was told :)
Really?! I had never heard of it until I began researching internship opportunities, I actually didn't even know what virtual (online) interning was, but I'm so glad I found it!
I asked my advisor about just listening in general and he said it was a really good start! It's even better that it's online, that's like an extra bonus for us :)
Yeah, that's the same way I feel. This is real-time, hands-on experience. It's not like most on-site internship program, in which you learn how to interact with a client by simply watching someone else in practice.
Exactly! I was actually surprised that I could talk to someone directly so quickly. But that's really the only way to learn, through practice
