Cancer caretaker
Life has thrown the biggest curb ball to my life. My husband was diagnosed with cancer in Nov'18 and it has been a challenge to get him to see reason and trying to not get him to do reckless things. He is a DJ and has a passion for his music. But because of his disease he cannot do things healthy people can, and it has been a struggle to get him to see that. This past Friday i ended up going to the ER because i had a really bad panic attack from arguing him about a party that was trying to book him for the show. The panic attack numbed my left arm, i had chest tightness, chest pain and struggle breathing. Everything came out ok, but i need to see my general doctor soon. He will begin his 3rd round of chemo this coming Thursday.

It sounds like the most difficult balancing act in the world. On the one hand, you want him to be able to enjoy life, and not be the instrument of denying him that enjoyment,
and on the other hand you want to keep him fit and rested so that his chances of surviving are increased.
I think you are doing an amazingly supportive job just by being there at his back - and occasionally on his back! I don't think there are any guidelines for you on keeping that balance, except of course, that you need to look after you, too.
Maybe we can help with that. Message me if you would like to, I'll reply when I can.
