Hello from Canada!
Hi there,
I'm Ashley, I'm Canadian and I have been losing motivation/focus/energy lately. I haven't had the energy or motivation to get my chores done around the apartment and I feel like my life is in a rut. I used to love arts and crafts, reading books, going exploring, learning etc. However, lately it's as though I don't really enjoy those activities as much. I feel like I'm in a slump and I am definitely ready to start working my way out of this feeling.
A bit about myself:
I am an actress and model by day and by night I am a waitress at a bar. I have depression, anxiety and insomnia however, my medications have been helping me. I'm 25 years old and I haven't gotten anything figured out and that freaks me out a lot. I don't know what I want to do for the rest of my life (though I really do enjoy being an actress and model). I have joined this site to find people like me who are searching for motivation. I am also looking for someone to give me that push and keep me accountable.
I look forward to being a part of this community,
Ashley

HI Ashley nice to meet you I am Rumple
I hear you on the house chores! Some days I can clean like you wouldn't believe-on others luckly I remember to flush the toilet
Thing to remember is 1 thing at a time only. We will always have to clean our homes, it's life. But for many this can get very overwhelming to do. How about you put on some music and a pair of shorts and wiggle wiggle doing chores? Also has there been a change in things for you? Or maybe something happened for this to come on? Sometimes if you make a list and write things down can get you focused and motivated just a bit. With exercise well, hmmm small walks can help or just start off by standing outside by your door. Enjoy the breeze and sun. I also love arts n crafts and getting into a good book. How about taking a pencil and pad of paper and sit outside and draw the first thing that comes to mind. I do know what it's like to "get outta the rut" but don't know where to start. I say start small
aahhh thank you so much for sharing a bit about who you are. Dealing with insomnia, anxiety and depression is hard. I am glad your meds are working tho. Finding where you belong, what to do in life, feeling content and so on......is hard. I was wondering have you tried writing things down. Putting it on paper helps. Seeing your goals and what other things make you happy on paper can also help you with motivation. Hey all over the site are many wonderful people to give you that little kick you need.
