Hi everyone

How can i start this. I would like to welcome myself as benlynchpx but call me Ben.

I went through some harsh times, though I'm not hesitant to share them here.

In 2013, this was in Hawaii, I played on the xbox and I wanted something on the game system, but it cost money. I told my dad about it but he said it was not wise to do buy virtual items with real money. So I got mad and posted on Facebook about him getting a game card for my stepbrother, which wasn't fair.

One night I was playing on Xbox and then all of a sudden my dad barged into my room, took everything I owned, which were valuable, and destoryed them. He even destroyed my shirts and old clothes, leaving me looking like a homeless dude. This was all because of that post.

In the process, he said many negative insults to me, including "F**k you, Ben." That shattered my heart.

The next day he drove me to the airport where I had to walk to the gate alone with my flight ticket to California.

After I met my mom at the baggage claim, we went home and I had to explain to her everything. The previous times arrived from Hawaii I cried so hard. Not this time...

In the next months or so I gained major depression and suicidal thoughts. I thought to myself, there is nothing left. I couldn't believe when people did for me...

One year later, my dad friend requested me on Facebook. I was a bit surprised because he deactivated it, so I accepted it. I was curious to why he did it.

He then called me and said to me that he was sorry, he was so sorry, he had Pancreatitis, he had bipolar depression after he kicked me out, and that he would get me my Xbox game card. That's all I remember. He also tried to let me forgive him. I tried hard to... I just needed time.

On September 4, 2014, he passed away from a massive heart attack.

I went to his funeral weeks later. I was brave to see him in his casket. I still have depression after those two events, so talking about it comforts me.

To have my dad take away the most important things in my life and pass away was upsetting...

I write poems and writings to let people know that they can get through the darkness like I did, and keep going.

My dad believed in me, feel joy, and most importantly, wanted me to go forward. He was a strong man.

Now... my world is gone, but never gone forever, in my heart. I will see you again dad...

@benlynchpx

Thanks for posting the above.

I was very close to my mother, who passed away about a decade ago after a short, and horrible illness. But she believed in me, as did your father for you, and he had every reason to I am sure. Just read some of your uplifting poetry.

Hang in there.
