I don't care anymore.
If I'm crazy, insane and paranoid for being wary of the nonsense in the world and slowly(if not quickly) coming to the realization that we won't even get a chance to choose not only when we're born, but also when we DIE,then so be it.
I'll gladly accept that title. I'm really,REALLY tired of the hideously naive and optimistic bullcrap that everything's gonna be ok and that everything's gonna be all sunshine and rainbows when that is all beyond laughable.
The world isn't nice and things are the farthest thing from ok,but yet people want to be ignorant/ostriches(i.e,stick their heads in the sand and pretend everything's ok) and be naive. If I don't want to be like that but yet people tear me down because of that, then so be it. Let me be the Joker then.
And I'm also pissed off that suicide is seen as some full-scale disaster, let when these people in power(i.e,trump) decide to blow us all up because our lives are worthless to them,it's somehow ok.
It's ok for some dictator/insane president/etc. to kill us(nuclear war,for example)/some insane,twisted maniac to murder us,but WE can't kill ourselves?
What the hell.
Again,if i am crazy/insane for being wary and angry at the BS of the world,THEN SO BE IT.
I've had it with all the nonsense and trying to understand things.
The world is just messed up and that's it.
The question is whether suicide is "taking control of your life" or "letting THEM convince you that it's not worth continuing." And in most cases, it's the latter.
There are a few cases where it's not, which is why some states and some countries have laws allowing people with terminal illnesses to end their lives. If you really can't get better, then chosing what to do with your limited remaining time is an act of empowerment.
But if the problem is, "there are corporations trying to squeeze everyone in order to put more zeroes in billionaires' bank accounts, and bigots trying to oppress everyone who's not like them, and politicians who support both of those as long as they're personally comfortable" - those are fixable. They take hard work, and a lot of community organization, but that's not a case of "nothing can be done so I should give up on my own schedule."
Whether or not you're morally obligated to stick around is an individual choice. But suicide because "we live in a worsening hellscape" is saying that they've won, that the good in the world is no longer worth fighting for.
I think it is.
When I'm too depressed to think coherently, I can always, ALWAYS find some deplorable bigot who would hate the fact that I'm alive, and I can keep living to thwart him.
Personally, I myself struggle with the boundaries to what extent suicide is right or wrong, I mean they do say that I should live because others love me but then they aren't going to live my life and face what I am facing so... I don't find suicide exactly wrong more so it pinches me that they were devasted enough to stop fighting with the world.
