Need help and feeling stuck. Where to start?
I'm sorry I haven't read through all the forums but I've been doing really poorly for a long time now and being in quaretien is making it 1000x worse. I'm stuck in a bad relationship and moved to a new start where I don't know anyone but my boyfriend who goes back and forth about being nice to me. I'm disabled so it makes things more complicated, I would leave him but I can't afford to live alone and can't afford to hire someone to do all the things I can't do. I hate myself for being so blind and moving in with him but now I can't even leave the house. I know I need to make friends and have some kind of support network but right now I have nothing and have no idea how to meet people. I'm trying to keep busy by sewing face masks that I sell online/donate to local organizations but it's hard to feel so constantly alone all the time. I don't think there's anything I can do at this point but I'm desperate to try to have something improve. If anyone can give me some advice I'd be really grateful.
I'm in CT so basically nothing is open and people aren't supposed to be meeting in groups. I had just started an ACA group right before this but now they are only doing meetings on zoom.

Hi, are you still there?
@AnahataMeow
hullo there!
It can be a stressful time right now, and it sounds like you have many things on your mind to add to that.
First off, you mention the forums- there are so many supportive people on 7 Cups! Humans are social creatures, we live in communities, thrive with the help of a support system. Normally, we'd turn to family, or you pointed out the ACA group meetings you were going to be a part of. However, this is a special time which calls for different solutions, so starting at the forums, or browsing some of 7 Cups' many great listeners would be a great start as well. I think sometimes just knowing someone is listening to you is the best way relieve yourself of some of that emotional burden. Check out some of 7 Cups self help guides as well.
I believe that doing things we love helps us cope with stress in positive ways. Sing if you love to sing, journal if you can journal, or just sit by a window, because fresh air is refreshing. Take time from your day to meditate, deep breaths will aid us in relaxing a bit. Cry if you need too, crying is another healthy way to cope.
I hope you will see the path to positivity soon, especially in these times when it gets a bit foggy. Thank you for sharing, take care.

It is really tough right with things being the way they are. The good news is that you do not have to be completely alone with the internet. It will still be difficult to be lliving with someone you do not want to be with. Is it hard to separate yourself from him where you are living? I hope he isn't abusive or would hurt you. If he is just alternating between being kind/mean, then that could be understandable. He is having trouble coping as well I am sure, and we do not all handle that as well as others. I want you to appreciate yourself for a moment though. You should be proud of your strength of will and character. Despite your disability and life situation you are still finding the motivation to make masks and do other things.
If you would like advice, my first approach would be to try to work things out with your boyfriend. As long as he is not dangerous. Whether you love him or not, you are still both human beings living under the same roof together and being considerate of one another will be very important. A lot of times we do not know what other people are feeling or going through, and then even if we are told, we do not understand.
@pioneeringNorth2586 thanks! Unfortunately we live in a studio apartment so there's no space and I hate using the term abusive because I have been though much worse situations but I'm sure a normal person would consider it abusive. As a domestic violence survivor I was able to briefly stay in a hotel but that cost too much for me to do for more than 2 days. If it was warmer I would just sleep outside but with my health problems I cannot be out in the cold. I guess this can't go one much longer. I feel bad saying it but sometimes I wish I could get sick so I could be in the hospital for a long time. But it figures that after having the flu twice this winter I now can't manage to catch anything!
