Mornin',

I'm new to all this. Don't know if I have depression or what. Just tired of what is going on in my life and feeling alone. I don't want to get a divorce but it feels like my husband is using his depression and anxiety as an excuse to not be an active participant as a husband and dad. Because of that I feel like a single parent with a roommate who has no self control when it comes to money. We are always in the red and I'm tired.

@Abys101

You can give information out for the National Domestic Violence Hotline where they can call 1−800−799−7233 or TTY 1−800−787−3224. I got this information from their website. The National Domestic Violence Hotline is a good place for those who are being abused to go for help.

Hello!

I have been here for a few days. I've already had a few chats with members and getting the hang of being an active listener. Shortly I will be taking the training to build up my knowledge on various topics so I can improve on my ability to listen and support people.

Hey I am also a newbie here. From what I have seen through the past 2 weeks of being here is this.

This is a forum for people to come together and help their fellow beings in need. Most of our fears and anxieties are not expressed to people or society because that could lead people to judge or mistreat them. It can lead to breakdown. So here we promote anonymity on both sides to let people who are able and trained to listen to their problem and let them take out those fear and anxiety an other undefined feelings. This can help the person to take out those and better handle his emotions. And when the listener provides him good suggestions based on his or her experience and that leads to a positive impact in their lives. If there is anything else do feel free to ask
