um hi.. my name is katie. i'm new here and i was wondering if anyone has some tips on how to not be possessive of your friend? they just got a gf recently and i have trust issues as well and they really came out when she told me that. i just don't wanna lose her even though she continuously tells me she won't leave me. but it's hard when my issues come into play and my possessive doesn't wanna share but i have too. does anyone have any advice on what i should do? thank you..

Hi katie! I hope you're doing well.

I truly understand what you feel. I used to feel the same way, afraid of getting left behind by the people I loved. But hear me katie, if a person loves you, like as your friend you're getting concious of, trust me she won't leave you if she loves you and if you two share a strong bond. And if she does leave you, you can't do anything about it. I know it's harsh but trust me you can't. We cannot hold people back into our lives when they don't want to stay.

So stop stressing out yourself. Support her, be with her, don't act possessive 'cause it will never help instead it will hurt your mental peace. Be with her in whatever she is and your friendship will last long if it's meant to be.

Have a good one katie!

Hey guys! I'm Tan. I love to talk to people about their feelings and emotions. I always try to put myself in their shoe. I would love to talk if somebody pings.

Have a good one!
