Hello everyone don't know really what to say cause I'm a sleepy momma of a 3 month old and 4 year old. I struggle with marriage issues that I seem to be the only one wanting to fix, and struggle to keep up with housework. I was diagnosed with postpartum depression for the second time with baby #2. Sometimes I also have anxiety as well. I often feel like I fail as a mom, housewife and such. I often feel that I am socially awkward. I'm a homebody that is an extrovert. I don't have a ton of friends to talk to. And the most important person in my life that I could confide in past away in 2010. I can be a chatty Kathy especially on forums and message groups.

Hello everyone, you can call me Meg. I came here because I'm bipolar and I'm not handling it well lately. Anxiety is getting the best of me lately with the start of my bachelor's program coming up. I've been a straight A student in my college but now I'm super anxious with the start of my upper division courses in fall. I know I have nothing to worry about, but I just can't help it.

I'm a 37 year old single mother of two and don't work (because my mom is gracious enough to let us stay with her while I go back to school), so should have all the time in the world for classes, but still worry that school will get the best of me these coming years.

hi @meghira, I'm new here also, and I too am in college on my way to completing my bachelors degree as a non traditional student (I'm 49). I was diagnosed with bipolar when I was 38 but have just been depressed mostly.

i came here looking for some kind of support from others who could relate to what I struggle with because my only support system (emotional & financial) is my husband and my 3 doggies (no kids...not able to conceive).

as for college, I've been taking classes since 1992, a few here and there. I guess not being diagnosed until later in life, I had no explanation for why I couldn't "get it together" and thus never learned the coping skills I needed to reach any of my goals.

perhaps we can encourage one another in our journey forward! I know I need to be able to have someone to talk to who won't judge me because I'm not where my peers are at in life...sometimes I get embarrassed when younger students mistake me for a professor or somebody's mom at school (in semester's past before Covid).

ugh, I feel like I'm yammering on, so please let me know if you can relate?! Btw, my name is Christie.

@RadiantFace

I can definitely relate! I, too, have bipolar along with anxiety and a big case of perfectionism - if I don't get A's I feel like a failure. My classes are now online, but I've been mistaken as the professors in classes before, too. I have a previous A.A. and have been taking lower division courses part time for two years since I needed pre-reqs for this degree in sequence, but now I can finally enter the bachelor's program. I'm divorced with two children and was a stay at home mother for 10 years.

I'm completely open minded and non-judgemental (going into social work, I want to start in case management now and get experience, then go back later for a masters and do counseling). I'd love to have someone in a similar situation to chat with!

Hi. I decided to try this. I suffer from diagnosed depression, anxiety and panic attacks (only when driving). I have a degerativie spine condition and other medical problems that cause chronic pain. I've had 7 surgeries, including 3 on my spine and 2 joint replacements in the last 3 years. 4 years ago I was a fitness instructor, in great shape and very active. I married the love of my life 6 years ago. I'm 53. After each spine surgery I gained about 20-25 pounds. I have trouble walking some days. I don't liek to go out because I'm embarassed about how I look and feel. I have a good job but I'm worried about not being able to drive because of the panic attacks. My job supports the family. I'm afraid my husband is getting tired of me and will leave me because I am not the person he married. I would not blame him. I am one of those people that does not apear to be depressed or anxious, and am very positive around other people. I used to exercise to release sress but I can't do that anymore. I feel hopeless and the idea of being this way for the rest of my life or worse, as my condition progresses is terrifiying and I'm not sure I can do it.

hello everyone! i'm here because i verrryyyyyy recently started to question my sexuality. i identify as a (cis-gender) female, and for about a year i've been wondering if i was pansexual. i never explored it though; it was just a lingering question in the back of my mind. however, literally two days ago (today is friday, july 24th), i started to really wonder who i liked. as a very young person, i've never been asked out on a date or to be in a relationship with anyone. i've never explored my sexuality in any shape or form. i've had crushes on guys, but never on anyone else.

and now, i'm kind of panicking because girls are suddenly a lot more interesting in guys and i just don't know what's happening? so yeah, lol, please give me your advice.

-cherry
