Tell us what brought you here to 7cups
An extremely warm welcome to everyone here. We all have our own stories of how we got pulled into this peaceful world of 7cups & oh boi they’re one of a thing! So why don’t you tell us what brought U to 7cups!
I started on 7 cups about six months ago. I'm dealing with some pretty awful trauma( multiple types) and once a week therapy just isn't enough. I needed a place I could turn for help or a listening ear at different times of the day or night. The support here is really great and I don't feel so alone in my suffering. Thx for posting. ABB💜
I joined this app both because I am currently experiencing sever anxiety and depression following a breakup and loss of friends, and because I don't want anyone to feel the same way I feel and not have any support, so I'm here to talk with people and help as best as I can
I joined to try and let out all the things I'm feeling, meet new people with similar issues, find new ways to cope, get answers to some of my questions, and to support others. I joined maybe 30 minutes ago and am glad to discover that the layout of the app is easy to use and navigate. I'm happy to meet everyone here! :)
New here 👋 I've been in and out of therapy and on and off different meds for several years with depression and anxiety. I'm also disabled with chronic illness, exacerbated by stress. The past year has been the worst in so many ways and I needed somewhere to turn.
Hello everyone. I'm completely new to this and am usually quite chatty/open about myself so I want to make sure I don't overshare and cross lines (break a policy rule-etc) so if anyone can help me with understanding some basics, I'd appreciate it.
I am here to help myself in this journey of loving myself and life more. I live with chronic depression & anxiety and have for about 10 years now. I am grateful that I have a good support system through my spouse, family, friends, etc.; however, I need to learn to be my own support system a lot better as well. How can I learn to treat others better if I'm not doing the same thing with myself?
I've heard this phrase several times from my friends/loved ones and it's one thing I want to have happen for myself one day and that's when I'm finally seeing myself the way all of them see me. I've heard "If you could only see yourself the way I see you" and it's sweet and loving, but at the same time I am left upset at myself because I don't see that within me.
So here I am wanting to dive into myself more and with that, reaching out to others and speaking out about my experiences as well as trying to help others (even by listening) can go a long way. Back when I first started recognizing my issues, I started opening up to family about what I described as a "spiritual battle" in that I want to be here, but also just simply don't. Suicidal ideation is a struggle of mine, but never actually doing the act. If I never opened up about my struggles then, I don't know where I'd be today. Talking about ANYTHING is so incredibly important.
And yeah. That's a little bit about me. I hope to get to know some of you (in that however is proper) and just looking forward to being on this site with you all in hopes that we all can find ways to better ourselves, together, and on our own.
Namaste
Really heartening to hear about that my friend. I’m glad you joined this family. I’ll help you with all the basics you need. Feel free to pm me for the same. Proud of you mate! You have it in you to be a better version of yourself & your already doing so great! Welcome to the 7cups family and we hope to see you around❤️
Anxiety and depression stemming from regret, grief, heartbreak and loneliness. Looking to turn things around for the better i.e. find happiness again.
@easyRaspberries164
Welcome! Hugs to you my friend.
Thank you @aFranticfrog00 and same to you. Hope you find what you need here. Cheers.
Things have not been going great for me this past year, both personally and profesionally, and I really need to learn how to manage these difficulties and stresses much more reponsibly. I have a tendency to lose my temper and take my anger out on those close to me, but enough is enough and I'm learning to be more aware of my emotions and how to control them.
@Gurshanishereforyou I have had depression since I was six, my case has worsened because of that discovery and I've been dealing with big life transitions and grief for the 1-2 years, I really just need someone to confide in to get it all off my chest.
To scared to tell anyone I know in my life about my thoughts 7 Cups is an escape for me
