I truly love and respect the 7 cups community.Its so nice to know that there is a place to go and take your troubles to at any time of the day and night, and know someone will be there to listen and not judge. It is also nice to know that you can come to cups when you are not in turmoil, when you just may need to talk, or even help another. Thank you all for being there.
This site has changed my life and helped me as well but .. for some reason they were discussing this website on the radio on Monday. They said it's corrupt just like Facebook and people just join to get others personal info, etc. ?? I didn't like that very much. Maybe someone on Facebook said it b/c they are mad? To make a website for people to vent and talk instead of post nude pics and talk about each other and their family!
I would be very interested in knowing what radio station that would be, @TransAm85! How bizarre. It is actually against the rules to share or ask for one's contact details and/or social media accounts here.
7Cups explicitly states on the 1-on-1 chats: "For your own safety, DO NOT share your personal details, contact info or social media handles."
Within the group chat rooms, the Chatroom Rules also state: "For your own safety, NEVER give out your personal details or social media handles in the chat room, or ask others for theirs. And never share your personal information with members.".
So if anybody does try and encourage you to do so, please report this and refrain from giving them any of your personal information or contact details!
Not entirely sure where such ideas about 7Cups have come from. However, that is certainly not what 7Cups is about!
I am in Wisconsin .. In the morning there is a station that has political conversations between playing music. They began talking about websites that were just created to get in random people's lives all over the world b/c they have nothing to do. I actually think that would be Facebook, but .. they mentioned this site and Tumbler, Twitter, and some other site, I can't remember the name.
