Our weekly Women's Circle is happening Saturday, May 9th at 10 am EDT in the Support Session Room for adults on 7 Cups.
Topic: How Sexism and Patriarchy Affect Women's Healthcare
Following our powerful discussions on sexism in the workplace and its impact on mental health, we are turning our attention to a vital area of our lives: our bodies and our health.
For too long, women's pain has been dismissed, our symptoms minimized, and our reproductive choices policed. From the "pain gap" to medical gaslighting, and the trauma of invasive procedures, sexism in healthcare is a reality many of us live with daily.
This is a space to name those experiences, validate our pain, and discuss how we can advocate for ourselves and each other.
We know this topic may bring up difficult memories or feelings. Please know this is a space held with deep care, compassion, and respect for your journey wherever you are in it.
