@UpsetMother20 it's terrible when a man cares so little about his own child and partner. You're not alone, so many women have been through this and even if I haven't experienced it myself I can imagine how draining and painful it feels. A man like this does not show any love or even basic respect to his own family.
You don't have to tolerate this. It's not your duty to do all of this alone. You can look for support by other, more supportive people in your family - be it your family of origin, trusted friends, or even local networks of mothers. Women's mutual support can be an amazing resource.
As for what to do with him - it's you decision, really. I wouldn't be able to share my life with a man that doesn't care for me and our child. If nothing you've said or done has made him decide to change, the problem can only get worse. You don't have to risk your own mental and physical health over a man who doesn't care for his family. Making radical changes in your life might be tough, but I believe in the long run it's healthy to be surrounded by people who genuinely care for you and unhealthy for both you and your child to deal with people who don't want to invest any time or energy in their own family.
Both you and you child are worth much more than this. You deserve love expressed through facts, real care and support.
