My daughter was diagnosed with endometriosis last November. She had robotic excision surgery. After that she was advised to take deinogest tablets for a period of six months. After a month when she started her period and it didn't stop for a fortnight, she was asked to double the dose. The side effects of this has been terrible. She's had dreadful mood swings, suicidal thoughts and dark patches on her skin even though she stopped the pills after a fortnight.
My heart breaks for her. Someone please tell me if she will get better. It's just about four months since her surgery.
Recovery takes time unfortunately, all we do is support and guide them through their journey. Your emotions are valid, and it can be hard watching your child in pain.
