Help please
I feel so bad because I’m angry at something that’s stupid.
My friend (K) got her period a few months ago. I’ve had mine for 2 years now. K is new to this but she’s acting like she’s dying. I keep telling myself that maybe she has bad cramps but when i ask her she’ll say no. We went to a wedding yesterday and she wouldn’t get up at all because she’s paranoid but you can still leak when sitting. I understand being paranoid I am too but I feel so angry because she won’t do ANYTHING fun all she wants to do is be on her phone and she’s honestly been pretty mean to me. I have depression and anxiety and she keeps putting me on the spot and acting like I’m stupid. I know I’m probably being an A hole but I just don’t know. Could someone please give some advice I don’t wanna be angry for my vacation any longer.

Hello Evvie I hear your frustration. It sounds like you really want to go out and participate in more activities while your friend isn't really up to it because of her period. Have you tried talking to her about how you're feeling? It sounds like you want to do activities with her but how your mood is being negatively affected by her remarks and actions?
No I haven’t told her anything I just feel as if it’s stupid and she’ll get mad at me
@Evvieskate I hear you it can be hard to bring these things up with your friends sometimes. Is there a particular reason she'll react negatively if you were in that position do you think you would react negatively?
I think she would because I the past I would bring up something she would turn it around and put it on me like once she was acting distant and I asked her and she said it was because I was annoying her and me basically giving her the same sass back was hurting her feelings (keep in mind she was saying I was stupid) so I told her I had straight As she didn’t believe so I pulled them up. I do think I’ll react negatively she will
@Evvieskate I'm really sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. It's important to acknowledge that experiencing periods can vary greatly from person to person, and for some, it can bring significant discomfort and distress. It's not K's fault if she's struggling with it, and it might be helpful to remember that everyone's experience with menstruation is different.
Considering your feelings of frustration and the impact it's having on your well-being, it might be necessary to have an open and honest conversation with K about how you're feeling. Let her know that you understand she might be going through a tough time, but also express how her actions are affecting you. Communication is key in any relationship, and it's okay to express your emotions.
Additionally, if you feel that the dynamic between you two is becoming strained, it might be helpful to take some distance for a while. Taking some time apart can allow both of you to reflect on your feelings and come back to the relationship with a clearer perspective.
Remember, it's essential to prioritize your mental health, and it's okay to set boundaries when needed. I hope you find a resolution that brings you peace and allows you to enjoy your vacation without lingering anger. Take care 💜
