I m a veteran and I m upset about how women veterans don't get recognised due to biases of society so I m here for encouragement since I feel upset

@UpsetSoldier

I am sorry you are feeling this way. I appreciate all that served.

However, in everyday life and work situations I find more men speak up about their past service sometimes often in my experience, and people then know.

I worked with a great lady and knew at work for several years before even finding out about her time in the military.   Not that it was a surprise, but I felt bad I did not know and thanking her for service which I did, seemed late in our interaction and may not have seemed sincere.

@UpsetSoldier

I'm sorry to hear that. Like the other comment mentions, men often speak highly of their service and experience as opposed to their female counterparts sometimes demanding attention. You deserve to be validated too. You deserve recognition for all that you've done.
