International Day of the Girl Child
Tw: Societal and Global Problems
Hello ladies, and happy time zone!
Did you know that Saturday, October 11th, 2025, is known as International Day of the Girl Child?
If you did not know, now you do!
The importance of this day is to raise awareness to promote female empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights. To spread the importance of safety, the right to education, and a healthy life, not only as children, but as maturing women. However, to this day, they are still denied their human rights globally. The progression is real; nearly 91 million girls are in primary school, 136 million in secondary school, and women are enrolling in tertiary education, tripled to 139 million. Although 133 million girls nationally are still denied educational rights.
Fun fact, over 114 countries Today have written into their law that women and young girls deserve their right to basic human rights, health, and education!

@InsightfulPhoenix
I didn't hear about this day until now.
It's amazing that people are fighting more and more for the rights of girls in many countries. It should be a normal standard everywhere, without any question!

@Amanda84 if girls did rule the world there would be no wars.. Just a bunch of countries not talking to each other
