Sister's Life

My heart breaks for my sister. She's endured so much suffering. Since childhood, she's battled chronic ear infections, undergoing five surgeries, the most recent of which was unsuccessful and led to a tumor and debilitating headaches that doctors can't treat. The trauma she experienced as a child, when she was molested during a prayer session intended for her healing, resulted in severe emotional distress and a long-term mental health diagnosis. She's unable to work and relies on my mother for support, living in difficult circumstances. My mother's frustration often manifests as anger, which adds to the strain. It's incredibly painful to witness her constant suffering, and at times, I struggle with feelings of helplessness. I'm deeply concerned about her quality of life and want to find ways to support her and my mother through this.

@amicableBlackberry7974 I’m so sorry your sister is going through such an incredibly difficult time. She has endured so much pain, and it’s heartbreaking to hear about her struggles. It’s completely understandable that you’re feeling heartbroken and helpless, as it’s so hard to watch someone you love suffer. You are doing everything you can by being there for them, even though it may feel like you can’t fix everything.

Sometimes, simply being a compassionate and supportive presence can make more of a difference than you realize, even if it feels like it doesn’t. It might help to reach out to professionals who specialize in the challenges your sister and mother are facing.

Please remember that it’s okay to seek support for yourself as well. I’m sending you support 💜
