Hello everyone, my name is InsightfulPhoenix. You can call me Phoe or Insight for short. An I want to take the time to share some thoughts with you all tonight. Tw: mentions of pregnancy, body changes and mood swings.

Now that the introduction and trigger warning is out of the way, I wanted to take the time to speak on the things that are left out during a woman's pregnancy journey. Especially the tough moments of mood swings and the way pregnancy changes the body not only mentally, physically and emotionally. Society, has this idea that pregnancy is a picture perfect moment, without educating anyone properly of what comes at a price. A woman's mental health..

Which I see this as not okay, because it's not easy carrying a child for 9 months to then be told to do everything and anything without regard to how we feel. It is as if we go from an independent person to a robotic person with 8 arms like an octopus. We deserve the same dignity and respect.

Discussion question:

What is something that irritated you during a sensitive time like this? An why did this bother you so much during this sensitive time?

@InsightfulPhoenix Hello Phoe, thank you for sharing your thoughts and shedding light on the often overlooked aspects of a woman's pregnancy journey.

It's disheartening to see how society portrays pregnancy as a perfect experience without addressing the very real and difficult aspects that come with it. Your point about the lack of proper education and support for women going through this journey needs to be highlighted.

To address your discussion question, I imagine it would be particularly irritating when others dismiss or minimize the struggles, expecting you to conform to certain roles without regard for how you feel during such a sensitive time.

Thank you for prompting this important discussion. It's vital that we create spaces where women can share their experiences and feelings without judgment.

@Mya00, You are more than welcome! Yes it is very disheartening that pregnancy is only see for the bright moments and never the for what it really is.

An it can be a struggle when the those around you expect you to be a certain type of way or they constantly compare you to another pregnancy, which in turns makes you feel a certain type of way because you as a whole art being neglected.

I will do more post like this creating a safe space for those who are thinking about becoming pregnant, are pregnant or dealing with something like this currently🙌🏽💖
