Tired of Being Hurt

I’ve always tried to be kind and caring, and I really put my heart into people. But it feels like every time I do, it backfires people take advantage, hurt me, or disappear. By the way im a 17yo girl. I get so tired of trusting and hoping, only to be let down again and again. I just wish someone could really understand me and maybe help me feel a little less alone.

I am going to tell you something that I wish someone had told me when I was younger, and when I was around your age <3. Here it goes, you can still be empathetic and compassionate and still say no to someone else's b.s. You are worthy of respect, love, and genuine kindness,

This is truly heartbreaking to read. I hear you, and I understand how exhausting and frustrating this feeling is.

I want you to know something important: The kindness and the big heart you have are a gift, not a weakness. Never change that part of yourself because of the people who failed to appreciate it.

The issue isn't with you, but with those who take advantage of genuine care. You deserve so much more.

I agree with the reply above. The key right now is to protect your energy and set clear boundaries (learn to say 'no' nicely).

Go Slow with Trust: Trust is earned in small steps over time, not given away all at once.

Be Kind, But Firm: You can still be empathetic and caring while making sure people respect you and your time.

Please remember that you are worthy of respect, love, and genuine kindness. Keep being you, and you will eventually find the people who value your heart. You are not alone in this feeling

I won't tell u to lean on me if you don't want but , My only goal is to listen without judgement and be present for you

@lavenderLemon7435 Hey, I hear you—and I’m really sorry you’ve been feeling this way. It takes so much courage to keep putting your heart into people, especially when you've been hurt before. Wanting to connect, to trust, to be seen—those are such human things, and it’s incredibly painful when others don’t treat that with the care it deserves.

You're not alone in this, even if it might feel that way right now. So many people have gone through similar heartbreaks, and it does not mean there’s something wrong with you. In fact, it says a lot about your strength and your heart that you still care deeply, even after being let down.

It’s okay to feel tired, to want someone to understand you and hold space for your feelings. You deserve that. And while I know I’m just a listener here, I want you to know that I see you, I’m here for you, and you’re not invisible.

Would you like to talk a bit more about what happened?
