In Akutan, Alaska, Operation Family Fund is dedicated to providing compassionate financial assistance to eligible service members and their families through grants that address essential needs, including medical care and home purchases. To ensure support is directed appropriately, grants require verification of service-connected disability ratings by a case manager, social worker, or doctor. Each family may receive up to two grants, with a minimum six-month waiting period between them. While we are committed to helping our military families, we currently face a high volume of requests for assistance and limited funding due to a shortfall in donations. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept new applications for our waiting list at this time, but our mission remains focused on serving those who have served us.
