MOVE! Weight Management Program, located in Akutan, AK, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through comprehensive weight management and health promotion services. Our mission is to effectively screen every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities for obesity and to connect them with tailored weight management solutions that align with their unique needs and preferences. We offer a variety of options including group sessions, personalized telephone lifestyle coaching, and TeleMOVE! which allows for convenient in-home support. For those who prefer a more independent approach, the MOVE! Coach mobile app is available to assist Veterans in their weight loss journey. Additionally, we provide access to weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans who have not found success with lifestyle changes alone.
