In Douglas, Alaska, the Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Food Program (WIC) is dedicated to empowering low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, along with infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to promote healthy food habits through a variety of essential services, including nutrition education, the provision of nutritious foods, breastfeeding education and support, and referrals to additional resources. We strive to ensure that our participants receive the guidance and support they need for a healthy start in life, contributing to the well-being of families in our community during these challenging times.
