The Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program in Gustavus, AK, is dedicated to empowering individuals recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes through free, accessible education and resources over a comprehensive 12-month timeline. This program, offered in both English and Spanish, features six informative e-booklets designed to align with the learning needs of participants at various stages post-diagnosis. Each month, participants receive a newsletter filled with seasonal tips and resources aimed at enhancing their well-being while managing diabetes. Additionally, enrollees who provide their phone numbers can join our monthly 'Ask the Experts' Q&A sessions, where they can engage directly with ADA experts, explore the critical connections between diabetes and heart health, and take part in giveaways that support their journey towards thriving with diabetes. We believe in meeting our participants where they are and providing the tools they need to navigate their health journey with confidence.
