The Selma Schimmel Vital Grant, located in Hoonah, AK, is dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing financial hardships due to chronic, terminal, or rare medical conditions such as cancer or Parkinson's disease. Our mission is to alleviate some of the burdens during challenging times by offering essential assistance for utilities and groceries, helping to ensure that those affected have access to basic needs. While the grant provides support for either utilities or groceries, we also collaborate with Vital Options International and other community partners to connect individuals with additional available resources. We believe that no one should face their health challenges alone, and our program aims to provide practical help and compassionate support during difficult times.
