In Kasilof, Alaska, Chugachmiut's General Assistance program is dedicated to providing essential emergency support to Alaska Natives and Native Americans throughout the Chugach Region, which includes communities such as Seward, Valdez, Port Graham, Nanwalek, Tatitlek, and Chenega. We offer vital aid to meet immediate needs, including shelter, food assistance, clothing, and utilities. Our Local Community Health Representatives (CHR) are on hand to guide clients through the application process and ensure that all eligible individuals are informed about the resources available to them. Additionally, we collaborate with the Regional 477 Program Coordinator to connect individuals with career and training opportunities, helping to empower our community towards a more sustainable future.
