The Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program in Mountain Village, AK, is dedicated to supporting individuals recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes through a comprehensive and free 12-month journey towards effective diabetes management. Our program offers resources in both English and Spanish, including six informative e-booklets tailored to meet participants' needs, a monthly e-newsletter filled with seasonal tips for thriving with diabetes, and updates on local community events geared towards healthy living. Enrollees who provide their phone numbers can also join our monthly 'Ask the Experts' Q&A series, allowing them to engage directly with ADA specialists about diabetes and its connection to heart health, while enjoying giveaways designed to enhance their wellness.
