Located in Scammon Bay, Alaska, Financial Assistance Funds is dedicated to supporting children with special healthcare needs and their families by providing essential financial assistance. Our program helps ease the burden of both medical and non-medical costs, including expenses for prescriptions, medical bills, durable medical equipment, as well as home and vehicle modifications. We also cover healthcare utilization costs like travel to medical appointments and lodging for families, along with daily living expenses such as food and utilities. Each family can receive up to $500 per year, and while every request is valuable, higher funding requests will undergo a thorough review by our Board. We carefully process applications in the order received and strive to communicate approvals within 15 business days, ensuring that the families we serve receive the timely assistance they need to navigate their challenges with care and support.
