The Elders Program in Sitka, AK is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors in our community by offering vital support services and assistance tailored to their unique needs. Our program provides a range of services including caregiver training, case management, and durable medical equipment to ensure our elders live comfortably and healthily. We also offer consumer-directed personal care assistant (PCA) services, respite care, and educational resources focused on fall and injury prevention. To facilitate access to healthcare, we assist with Medicare and Medicaid, while our Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) fosters community engagement. Additionally, we organize monthly elder food boxes, teas, and potlucks to promote connection among seniors, alongside transportation services in the Anchorage area, advocacy support, and critical resource assistance.
