Located in Skagway, AK, the General Assistance program is dedicated to empowering eligible Alaska Natives and American Indians by providing essential financial assistance for their basic needs. Our mission is to foster self-sufficiency through personalized support, offering assistance that encompasses food, clothing, shelter, and utilities. Each participant collaborates with a dedicated 477 caseworker to create an Individual Self-Sufficiency Plan (ISP) tailored to their unique situation, clearly outlining actionable steps towards achieving employment and greater independence. We are committed to helping individuals navigate their paths to a more self-reliant future.
