The Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program in Attalla, AL, is dedicated to supporting individuals recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes through a comprehensive, free, and accessible educational journey. Over the course of 12 months, participants engage with six informative e-booklets tailored to address their specific needs and circumstances following diagnosis. Each month, they receive a helpful e-newsletter packed with seasonal tips, community events, and resources to empower them in managing their diabetes. This program also offers a Healthy Living newsletter and invites enrollees to join a monthly Q&A session with diabetes experts, providing a platform to discuss diabetes-related concerns, understand the relationship between diabetes and heart health, and access valuable giveaways.
