The Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) in Muscle Shoals, AL, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of low-income seniors aged 60 and above by providing essential food assistance through vouchers that can be used for fresh, locally grown produce, including fruits, vegetables, honey, and fresh-cut herbs. Administered by the Alabama Department of Agriculture & Industries, this program not only supports seniors in accessing nutritious foods at local farmers markets and roadside stands but also strengthens our community connections with local farmers.
