The Brown Bag Program, part of the Food Bank of East Alabama, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to seniors aged sixty and over who are living below the poverty level in Opelika, AL. Our mission is to ensure that these valued members of our community receive monthly supplementary groceries, delivering care and support directly to those in need. We offer a food pantry service and have adapted our distribution efforts to serve safely during the COVID-19 pandemic, operating on Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., with a break on the fifth Monday and Tuesday of the month. New customers can easily access our services by requesting an application, which can be mailed directly to you. Once we receive the completed application, we will promptly contact you to initiate the support you deserve.
