The Brown Bag Program, operated by the Food Bank of East Alabama, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to seniors aged sixty and older in Smiths Station, AL, who are living below the poverty line. Each month, our program offers supplementary groceries to ensure that our elderly community members have access to nutritious food. Our food pantry remains operational during the COVID-19 pandemic, distributing emergency food every Monday and Tuesday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., except for the fifth Monday and Tuesday of the month. For those interested in receiving support, we invite new customers to reach out so we can send an application by mail. Once we receive your completed application, we'll promptly process it and start your service, ensuring you receive the help you need.
