The Independent Living Skills program in Bakersfield, CA, is dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities by enhancing their ability to live independently in the community. Our comprehensive training focuses on vital daily life skills for those recovering from a disability or for individuals who seek to improve their existing capabilities. We offer workshops on essential topics, including household budgeting, financial management, public transportation usage, social services navigation, problem-solving, personal safety, and managing attendant care. Participants also learn how to be proactive health care consumers, gaining insights into medication management and effective communication with healthcare providers.
