At Our Space Community Center in Berkeley, CA, we proudly offer a welcoming safe haven for LGBTQIA+ youth aged 13-24 in Alameda County. Our mission is to provide a supportive environment where these young individuals can fully embrace their identities and experience a strong sense of belonging. With a variety of resources including community events, a gender-affirming clothing closet, and essential food assistance through our food pantry, we aim to meet the diverse needs of our youth. Additionally, we facilitate support groups and ensure access to the internet to foster connection and engagement. During the ongoing challenges of Covid-19, we remain committed to supporting homeless LGBTQIA+ youth through both housing and food assistance, with services provided via individual phone and group Zoom sessions, ensuring continuity of care and support in these crucial times.
