The Senior Nutrition Program in Chico, CA, is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of older adults and their families by providing essential food assistance through our weekly grocery distribution service. Operated by a dedicated group of volunteers, we offer a cost-effective alternative to traditional grocery shopping, ensuring that our members have access to a variety of fresh produce, bread, dairy, meat, and pantry staples sourced from local farmers markets and stores. For a modest $50 monthly membership fee, participants can fill their tote bins with as many groceries as they can carry during our visits each week. While we encourage volunteering from our members to strengthen our community, it is not a requirement.
