Located in Compton, CA, FISH of West Valley Community Resource Center has been a cornerstone of support since 1971, originally established as a food pantry to address urgent food assistance needs in the community. Unlike typical food pantries that limit access to monthly visits, FISH welcomes clients to return weekly, offering a diverse selection of healthy foods tailored to individual family sizes and needs. We prioritize accessibility by delivering food directly to seniors and individuals unable to travel. In addition to food assistance, we provide pet food, diapers, clothing, and hygiene products, ensuring our clients receive comprehensive support. As a vital resource center, we connect community members with essential services, including legal aid, safe parking options, and pathways to permanent housing. Collaborating with organizations like About My Father's Business for street outreach, as well as Little Angels Project and VIDA Mobile Clinic, FISH is dedicated to enhancing the lives of those in the unhoused community while fostering a sense of belonging for all our neighbors.
